Since it is founding in 1968, UFMCC (Universal Fellowship of Metropolita Churches) has grown into a denomination of over 300 congregations in 16 countries throughout the world. In many small communities, the MCC church is the only local lesbian and gay-affirming organization. MCC has been instrumental in creating conversation in the wider Christian church around the issue of homosexuality and have offered hope to many who struggle with reconciling their faith and their sexual orientation or that of someone they love.
