Simply put, we are a group of gay men and women who love to Country Western Dance. The group began in August 2000 largely through the efforts of our first Chair, Dave Hayes. Texas Twisters is Dallas/Fort Worth's only gay country/western dance club. -
Gay Men's Chorus of Houston
Gay Men's Chorus of Houston, the second oldest gay men's chorus in the US, was organized in 1979 as the Montrose Singers. Over the years, GMCH has performed in Denver, New Orleans, and most recently Tampa, at the international GALA choral festival. -
The Heart of Texas Hoedowners
The Heart of Texas Hoedowners, a non-profit dance organization, was established in the summer of 2001 to promote the enjoyment of country/western music and dance in the Austin, Texas area. The group provides a comfortable dance environment and organized learning opportunities to the gay and lesbian community. Although events are conceived with this segment of the central Texas population in mind, the group does not discriminate. We enthusiastically invite everyone to join us and participate in our activities.
