Reaching Out to Lesbians With Cancer and Other Life-threatening Diseases: After Jacquelin Welter lost her partner, Wendy Sukman, to breast cancer in 1998, she launched Wendy's Hope, the first support group in Southern California for lesbians with cancer and other life-threatening diseases, their life partners, and other family members. A bereavement support group is also available.

The Home Site of the WestHollywood Community of GLBT people with personal sites on the Web. The Community aims to provide a social environment for all elements of the GLBT community, embracing all colours, races and creeds. Its primary purpose is to provide member-to-member help with HTML and other Web authoring and publishing problems. Through its WestHollywood University it provides individually tutored courses in Web-related skills, and also runs an Awards scheme for Web sites of distinction.

ARIS is the largest AIDS/HIV education and service agency in Santa Clara County. Through staff and volunteers they are able to provide services for the majority of Santa Clara County residents with AIDS, as well as for people who are HIV positive, their families and loved ones.
