Information and guide for GLBT alcoholics. Provides “Do I Need Help?” checklist as well as U.S. Nationwide GLBT group meeting schedules, treatment options, and special events.
SoberDykes was founded by lesbians in recovery from substance abuse. It is now open to women of any sexual orientation. We offer support and information on alcoholism and addiction as well as support email lists, online meetings and a discussion forum. One on One support is available through our Hot Line. Other recovery issues are discussed such as ACOA, Al-Anon and Dual Diagnosis.
4. AIDS Stories
Dedicated to collecting the human stories of people who have contracted HIV because of the refusal by Congress and the Clinton administration to fund needle exchange programs.
People Helping People is daily interactive talk radio about addictions and recovery. Since 1995 host Mark Elliot has been answering questions from listeners and working as a facilitator in directing people to recovery resources in their communities. PHP has become a touchstone for many people who say "It's like a meeting I can take with me". PHP has no religious or political agenda. It's about getting sober and staying sober.
