The Fast and Fabulous Cycling Team
Fast and Fabulous, New York's lesbian and gay bike club, started when triathletes needed to train for Gay Games IV in 1994. We were all members of Front Runners New York, and haven't found any reason to discontinue that affiliation. Recognizing that not everyone would be able to cycle together, Bob Nelson drew up ride lists, one column marked "Fast" and the other - it would be impolitic to call the others "slow," so he settled on "Fabulous." And the name stuck. -
