An association providing peer support and networking capabilities for gay, lesbian and bisexual individuals working in police, fire, corrections, parole and probation.
The Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Teachers Network (GLSTN) is the largest national organization that brings together teachers, parents, students, and concerned citizens to work together to end homophobia in our schools. Over a third of GLSTN members are non-gay, and an equal number work outside of schools.
Idealist is the richest community of nonprofit and volunteering resources on the Web, with information provided by 25,000 organizations in 150 countries, and over 18,000 visitors every day.
The Network is organized to foster communication and cooperation among the New York City area's diverse lesbian and gay professional organizations. We holdnetworking and social events, with the participation of our member groups, to raise funds for donation to worthwhile nonprofit lesbian and gay social serviceorganizations. We also sponsor educational forums and panels on subjects of interest and importance to our community.
