Description Anna Rueling is the first known Lesbian activist. This site offers a review of a speech she gave over 100 years ago (1904), and offers links to her speech in English and Italian, In her speech, Rüling brought Gay rights and women's rights under one umbrella. She congratulated the Committee for its support of women's rights and for including Lesbians in its fight for equal right.
