New Spirit Community Church
We envision New Spirit Community Church as a place to come together in community to gain strength in order to work for change in the world (2000 Retreat small group vision) Within our first few months, our church has provided 300 volunteer hours toward building homes for Oakland families through Habitat for Humanity; preparing over 500 bag lunches for distribution to homeless youth on the streets of Oakland and Berkeley; involving the children in our congregation in our worship and church activities; holding spirit-filled, creative Sunday worship celebrations attended by 80 - 130 congregants and spiritual Wednesday night Prayer Gathering and providing needed support through home and hospital visits, and spiritual counseling. -

Our main focus is to help people find life and healing through the Word of God and prayer, while encouraging Christ-centered relationships to build each other up in faith. We offer a ministry to young adults (around and under 30) in addition to the regular ministry in the church. Families with children are welcome and encouraged. We are easily accessible to all people living in Long Beach, Los Angeles and Oragne Counties.
