Description	Up The Stairs Community Center (UTSCC) was established in 1982 and has set as its mission meeting the needs of gay male, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people (GLBT) in Fort Wayne, Indiana and the surrounding area. The organization has grown through the years in the number of projects being pursued, the activities available at the center, and the number of volunteers needed to accomplish all of it. We have grander plans for the future and welcome input from the GLBT community.

But we have lacked a city-based focus to concentrate our full resources�networking, outreach, social services, volunteerism, and cultural events. This is what we hope the new Beacon Center will eventually provide. We invite your ideas, energy and support to help us build a community center you can be proud of, one that works hand in hand with other organizations and agencies in town and on the IU campus.
