An official student organization for G/L/B/T students and their allies at Northwestern Michigan College.
Our mission is to provide social, educational, and support activities and opportunities for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered communities from the greater Grand Traverse region, centered in Traverse City.
The purpose of the Michigan AIDS Fund (MAF) is to serve philanthropy. MAF is an intermediary support organization to and between philanthropy and HIV/AIDS organizations and those affected by the epidemic. MAF's goal is to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS and to alleviate suffering caused by the epidemic. MAF fulfills its purpose by enabling philanthropy to effectively address the AIDS epidemic through grant making, technical assistance, collaboration, communication and fund raising.
Michigan Equality is a statewide political advocacy organization dedicated to building a broad base of support to end discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity or non-conformance to gender stereotypes.
We, the parents, families and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered persons, celebrate diversity and envision a society that embraces everyone, including those of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. Only with respect, dignity and equality for all will we reach our full potential as human beings, individually and collectively.
