Positive Power offers a place for gay and bisexual men with HIV or AIDS to address the areas in their lives that they'd like to discover more about--while creating opportunities to meet other men. Because of the unique issues faced by men living with HIV and AIDS, we feel that men may benefit from talking with others who understand and can relate. Through mutual sharing of ideas and feelings, possibilities are expanded for the future and personal growth and success become achievable.
The overall mission of the Virginia HIV Prevention Community Planning Committee (HPCPC) is to develop a Comprehensive HIV Prevention Plan for the Commonwealth of Virginia through the prioritization of people at risk and identification of strategies, interventions and behavior modification techniques that can reduce the transmission of the human immunodeficiency virus.
