An all-volunteer, non-partisan, non-profit political organization founded in 1971 to advance the equal rights of gay men and lesbians in Washington, DC.; the nation`s oldest continuously active gay and lesbian civil rights organization.
SMYAL is a youth service agency serving the Washington, DC metro area, including Maryland and Northern Virginia. It is our mission to support and enhance the self esteem of sexual minority youth-any youth (13-21) who is lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or who may be questioning their sexuality-and to increase public awareness and understanding of their issues.

The Youth Pride Alliance celebrates the dignity and courage of all young people as they discover their identities as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or straight.
The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Ally Resource Center (GLBTA Resource Center) is a University office which works to heighten awareness of issues dealing with sexual orientation. The Center is staffed by undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and members of the University administration. The staff provides academic advice, peer support, referrals, and resource information on sexual minority issues.
