The group is open to all students, faculty, and staff of NC State regardless of sexual orientation.

Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays promotes the health and well-being of GLBT persons and their families through SUPPORT, to cope with an adverse society; through EDUCATION, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and through ADVOCACY, to end discrimination and to secure fair and equal civil rights.
